This special program within Women’s Legal Service NSW aims to support and meet the legal needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women. The program was developed in 1995, in consultation with Aboriginal women and receives guidance and feedback from the Aboriginal Women’s Consultation Network, to ensure that all services are delivered in a respectful and culturally appropriate manner.
The First Nations Women’s Legal Program (FNWLP) is staffed by Aboriginal women and offers free legal advice via an advice line and outreach clinics; assistance in finding a lawyer; training and community workshops across NSW; resources and information about the law.
A WLS NSW solicitor working closely with FNWLP Community Access Officers will join this webinar to provide an overview of The Indigenous List at he Sydney Registry.
