Understanding the expansion of the immigration family violence provisions

We recently welcomed an expansion of the evidence victim-survivors of family violence can provide to continue with certain visa applications on the basis of the family violence provisions. The changes allow for more support services to provide documents in support of a family violence claim. The changes also expand on the kinds of documents that can be provided, including letters, reports and risk assessments, depending on the provider. The Immigration Advice and Rights Centre (IARC) will join us to explain The changes which will help to reduce the additional barriers and stressors faced by some victim-survivors facing immigration and visa issues.
