Who can access our service
UNLC provides a free legal advice service for all community members but does also run a specialty clinic for older persons called the Older Persons Legal Clinic (people aged 60 years and older, or indigenous people aged 50 years and older).
Services offered:
During University semesters, law students and Legal Centre lawyers offer free legal advice to members of the community on a drop-in basis at morning clinics held at NUspace.
Clinics are held on Wednesdays between 9.00am and 12.00pm. When attending the Legal Centre, the initial appointment will be with a law student completing the University of Newcastle Practice Program, before the client then meets with a solicitor or a volunteer lawyer.

UNLC accepts all walk ins for advice regardless of LGA, however ongoing legal representation is at the discretion of solicitors and depends on capacity.
